Freed from the mental hospital where he had been committed, the recovered Toombes and screenwriter Herbert Flay (Peter Cushing) intend to revive his most popular character, Dr. Death, for a television series. But the dead bodies start piling up -- all of them killed in ways that mimic the victims in Toombes' films -- and to clear his name he must find the real killer.

During a party, he jokingly performs a ceremony described in one of his father's books on black magic, not realizing he has unleashed small, demonic creatures known as "Ghoulies."
6 pm ET/PT | 5 pm CT | 7 pm MTPint-sized monsters known as ghoulies hop aboard a traveling carnival, where their violent behavior and grotesque looks are most likely to go unnoticed. There, the gremlin-like creatures find a new home in a haunted house attraction. As the creatures earn their keep by scaring visitors, the carnival finds itself running in the black for the first time in years. But things quickly turn sour when, to the shock of carny Uncle Ned (Royal Dano), the ghoulies start taking bites out of the customers.
