Unexpectedly, Frankie and Ulysses find themselves falling in love.

New teacher Janet (Karen Witter) is troubled herself by violent visions of being buried alive and her inability to convince the school's headmaster, Gary (Robert Vaughn), and resident physician, Dr. Schaeffer (Donald Pleasence), that the missing girls haven't run away. As Janet's hallucinations continue, she begins to wonder if she herself is somehow connected to the vanishings.

He meets Luna Schlosser (Diane Keaton), and they gradually fall in love. When Miles is later captured by the authorities, Luna seeks out the rebels to help rescue him.

The creature kills some crew members and causes them to mutate, resulting in a battle for survival against an unknown force far below the surface of the ocean.
