Liven Up Your Thanksgiving Dinner With This Edible ‘Alien’ Facehugger

Like most Americans, you probably plan on diving into some roast turkey this Thanksgiving, but have you considered instead going for an edible Alien Facehugger?

Chef and designer Hellen Die of the Necro-Nom-Nom-Nomicon specializes in creating creepy and macabre foods, and she’s very good at what she does. Operating out of her blog eatthedead.com, Die has published loads of spooky, often Halloween-themed recipes for the daring home cook, including “chili con carnage,” “key s-lime pie,” and of course, “smoked salmon gator with mudbugs and swamp sauce.” Last year, she even went viral with her Alien-themed chestburster turkey, which consisted of a dressed up pork loin busting out of the roast bird.

But this year, the creative cook has outdone herself by creating a three-foot long Facehugger that’s entirely edible. The beast is made of chicken, crab legs, and chicken sausage, and while it looks astoundingly like the grotesque classic movie creature, it also sounds delicious.

So if you’re feeling daring this Thanksgiving and are interested in completely terrifying your relatives, you can check out the full detailed recipe on how to make this masterpiece over on the Necro-Nom-Nom-Nomicon blog.
